Bridie Egan Obituary, St. Annes Guest house Woodquay Resident Has Sadly Died

Bridie Egan Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Bridie Egan’s passing, our dear neighbor from St. Anne’s Guest House in Woodquay. Bridie was a beloved figure in our community, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She joined her beloved husband, Paddy, who predeceased her, in eternal rest yesterday at 2.30pm.

Bridie leaves behind a loving legacy in the form of her children, Dympna, Patrick, and Michael. Her devotion to her family was evident in everything she did, and her memory will forever be a source of inspiration to those who knew her. In the last few weeks of her life, Bridie received exceptional care at Galway University Hospital. The compassionate treatment she received there was a testament to the dedication of the medical staff who ensured her comfort and dignity in her final moments.

Tragically, the Egan family was faced with another loss as Bridie’s brother-in-law, John Joe Egan, passed away the day before her. Dympna’s poignant observation that it was “surreal that he was in the same hospital, at the same time as her, receiving end-of-life care” speaks to the deep bond and connection within their family.

The first picture of these two together indeed suggests that their destinies may have been intertwined for quite some time, and their simultaneous passing is a poignant reminder of the inexplicable ways in which life unfolds. Our hearts and sympathies go out to the Egan and O’Carroll families during this profoundly challenging time. May Bridie and John Joe rest in peace, and may their memories bring comfort and solace to all those who loved and cherished them.
