From 2000 to 2003, Chris bravely participated in Operation Enduring Freedom as a corporal in the US Army. His commitment to his fellow soldiers and to defending the principles of freedom earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

After his military service, Chris embarked on a fruitful banking career that began as a Mortgage Lender in 2005. Throughout his professional journey, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, keen business acumen, and a genuine passion for helping others achieve their financial goals.

His dedication and expertise in the Mortgage Loan Department at Central Bank were instrumental in positively impacting the lives of countless clients and colleagues. Beyond his career accomplishments, Chris was deeply devoted to his family and community. He resided in Jefferson City with his loving wife, Jill, and their three cherished children.

As a father and husband, Chris was the epitome of love and support, always prioritizing the well-being and happiness of his family. Such as the Jefferson City Area Board of Realtors, Historic City of Jefferson Foundation, JC Youth Wrestling, Home Builders Association, Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce, American Legion Post 5, and VFW post-1003, showcased his commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those around him. Additionally, his service on the board of directors for the United Way of Central Missouri demonstrated his passion for supporting and uplifting those in need.

A true embodiment of integrity, Chris Wood was not only a standout professional and community leader but also a lifelong learner. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration – BBA, with a focus on Finance and Management, from Columbia College, further enhancing his expertise and dedication to his chosen fields.
