Ellie Jean Winters Obituary, Death – The Glenn High School student Ellie Jean Winter, a cherished member of the Leander community, passed away tragically. Ellie’s untimely death has shocked the little community and left her friends, family, and classmates in a state of intense mourning.
Ellie was a bright and lively presence who touched the lives of people around her with her contagious laughter and compassionate nature. She was born on March 17, 2005. She was an involved student at Glenn High School, taking part in a number of groups and extracurricular activities. Ellie had a great commitment to personal development and growth, as evidenced by her attention to her studies and her love of writing.
In addition to her scholastic success, Ellie was renowned for her undying loyalty to her friends. She had a natural capacity to make others feel important and cherished, always being there to listen and provide solace. Anyone who was lucky enough to come into contact with her felt her sensitivity and compassion.
Tragically, on August 9, 2023, a terrible accident ended Ellie’s promising journey. Those who knew her have been left with an unfillable gap in their hearts as a result of the news of her departure. In support of Ellie’s family at this trying time, the Leander neighborhood remembers her for the immense light she brought into their lives.
On August 15, 2023, at 3:00 PM, a memorial service will be conducted at the Johnson Funeral Home where friends and family will gather to honor Ellie’s life and legacy. The family gratefully requests contributions in lieu of flowers be sent to the Ellie Jean Winter Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will assist budding high school authors and preserve Ellie’s love of literature in the minds of future generations.
