James E. Mott Obituary Death -James E. Mott, who was born in West Terre Haute but had spent the majority of his time in Sullivan, Indiana, died on Sunday, July 23, 2023 while he was at home. Age-wise, he was 77. When their son was born on January 24, 1946, in Terre Haute, Indiana, his parents, Ernest L.
Mott and Viola Moreland Mott, were present to welcome him. Jim worked as a crane operator for Sussman Salvage Yard for his entire professional life until retiring after a 38-year tenure.
Jim is survived by Patricia Shepard Mott, whom he wed on February 24, 1967. They had two children together, James Mott and Cathy Kearschner (Alfred).
Along with several nieces and nephews, he is also survived by his brother Richard Mott (Patricia). His parents died before him. Jordan Kearschner, Natalie Cottom, and Sienna Cottom are the names of his great-great grandchildren. He also has a brother-sibling as a sibling. Prior to his passing, both of his parents and his brother, Jack Mott, had already passed away. They still had to raise him as their lone child.
On Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 1 p.m., funeral services are expected to be held at the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home in West Terre Haute, Indiana. Location of the funeral home is 220 North 3rd Street. Pastor Buddy White will presiding over the service. The burial will take place in the New Harmony Cemetery after the service is over. The funeral home’s walls will be open for visitation on Thursday between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
