Jody Bert Missing, Death, Obituary – A body of a man from Florida who had been reported missing since March was found floating in the Mississippi River on Monday. On Thursday, the East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office in Louisiana made the identification that the deceased person was Jody Bert, who was 44 years old and a resident of Florida.
On Monday evening, about 11:30 o’clock, the Coast Guard informed the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office that a body had been found in the river. The discovery was made on Monday. A dredging company that was operating in the area came across the body in the river, and they contacted the authorities as soon as they could after their discovery. The body was reportedly collected from the river by the Maritime unit, which then handed it over to the East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office so that an autopsy could be performed to determine what caused the deceased to pass away.
The autopsy was performed so that the cause of death of the individual could be determined. According to the reports, there had been neither trickery nor any other kind of foul play. The individual who was discovered floating in the Mississippi River and whose identity was established by the police. The Baton Rouge Police Department made the first public notice that Bert was missing on March 23. This announcement was given to the broader public.
After checking out of the hotel where he was staying with his wife and children on March 22 at roughly 12:45 in the morning, he was last seen in the downtown district of Baton Rouge .In light of the fact that Bert was dealing with some kind of medical emergency, he and his family made the decision to spend the night in Baton Rouge.
The spokesman for the Bradenton Regional Police Department, Sergeant L’Jean McKneely, Jr., stated that the party was traveling back to Florida after visiting their relatives in Oklahoma. Bert had to leave his family in order to find a parking spot for their vehicle, but he never returned to join them when his search was over. The following day, the police located the vehicle, along with his wallet and mobile phone, in the parking garage of the hotel where he was staying.
