Johnny Huggins Obituary, served the citizens Of The Lake View Has Passed Away

Johnny Huggins Obituary Death -After a battle with illness, Mr. Johnny Ray Huggins, Sr. (Skeeter) passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Florence’s McLeod Regional Medical Center. On July 26, 2023, a funeral ceremony will be held at Lake View Methodist Church at 3 p.m.  with burial to follow in Lake View Perpetual Cemetery.

The family will host visitors at the Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View on Tuesday, July 25th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Son of the late Bruce and Vergie Jean Phillips Huggins, Mr. Huggins was born on February 2, 1967 in Dillon County. He gave back to his community by volunteering as a firefighter. He was an honorary member of both Whitehouse Volunteer Station 36 and Dillon County Station 3.

Additionally, he sponsored numerous sports teams for the Lake View Parks and Recreation Department while operating a towing and recovery company in Lake View for more than 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Renee’ Huggins; sons, Alex Huggins (Sara), Robby Huggins, Johnny Ray Huggins (Brittany), Chris Huggins, and Brad Taylor (Jennifer); brothers, James Smith (Carrie) and Daniel Huggins (Norma);

sister, Renee McKenzie (Harry); mother in law, Olivia Coburn; grandchildren, Brianna Huggins, Sophia Huggins, Patricia Jean Huggins, Connor Huggins and Carson Huggins; a special friend, Stevie Hood (Jenny); and a host of nieces and nephews He also lost his father and mother before his brother Ronnie Smith (Christine), sister Faye Hyatt (Bill),and his in-law Robert Coburn.
