Juanita Mitchell Obituary, Death – The person who held the record for being the oldest resident of Illinois who was still alive passed away yesterday, putting an end to their reign as the record holder for the duration of which they held the title. In the days preceding up to the day that she died away yesterday, Juanita Mitchell had been brought to the hospital after suffering a stroke.
Unfortunately, she did not survive the day she was there. The other day, she passed on from this life. When Juanita reached the age of 111, she was officially recognized as the resident of Illinois with the longest documented longevity. Juanita’s life span was legally recognized as the oldest ever recorded. She moved to Chicago in 1919, and once she was situated in the city, she enrolled in Hyde Park High School.
She remained there till she graduated from high school with her diploma from that institution.
The members of Juanita’s family will always remember her as a brave woman who inspired them to strive to be like her and set an example for them to follow throughout their lives. They won’t ever be able to forget her. They are not going to be able to forget about her ever.
