Mony Opazo Obituary, Death – As we deliver the sad news that our cherished mother, Mony Opazo, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, we would like to offer our most sincere sympathies to each and every one of you. When she passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, she had just recently returned from Chile, a nation that held a special place in her heart.
There are no words that can fully express either the breadth of our loss or the burden that it has placed on us as a result of it. There is not a single thing that we could do or a single word that we could say that would be adequate to convey the level of respect that she is due. Her offspring look up to and adore their mother. Her grandchildren have nothing but kind words to say about their grandmother. She has cared for a large number of individuals, including her own children-in-law in the same manner as though they were her own.
Her spouse and her eldest son Gabriel are still with her in Chile, and her younger children, Monica and Ramon, will arrive tomorrow to begin the process of transporting her back to Canada for her burial and last resting place. We are grateful that she has family members who have supported her throughout this ordeal and that they are currently surrounding her. We are thankful that our mother was able to say her final goodbyes to her parents just a few days before she passed away, and that she is now reuniting with them in the afterlife. This brings our family much joy. When the time comes, we will inform you of the particulars of the funeral and the burial arrangements that have been made.
