Phillip Loveday Obituary, Death – Authorities in south Texas indicate that a bi-vocational preacher who also worked for an oil firm was discovered dead in his workplace vehicle. The pastor performed both jobs at the time of his death. The news comes after authorities from numerous counties spent the previous six days looking for him.
Phillip Loveday, 47, was last seen leaving his home in Corpus Christi, Texas, on August 2 in the morning on his way to Kinder Morgan, an oil and gas business where he worked. He was never seen again. In addition to his employment in the oil sector, Loveday has, since 2019, served as the main pastor of Faith Christian Center, which is located in the nearby town of Freer.
A deputy sheriff who was participating in the hunt for Loveday located him on Tuesday afternoon, sitting in the driver’s seat of his business vehicle. “The cause of his death was a gunshot wound. According to a local news site, 3NEWS, there are no indications that any criminal activity took place. “According to the authorities, it is unequivocally apparent that Loveday had been dead for some time,”
It was said that the automobile was discovered in a “brushy area” just a few miles away from Loveday’s residence in Corpus Christi. Loveday did not have his mobile phone on him at any point in time.
On Wednesday morning, members of the staff at Faith Christian Center posted on a Facebook page that they had set up to spread information on the search for Phillip, stating that “law enforcement has found Phillip.” The following was added to the statement: “His family and friends are devastated by this news.” Please extend your condolences to the family during this difficult time.
