Rayden Elmore Obituary, 15-Year-Old, of Newton, Has Unexpectedly Passed Away

Rayden Elmore Obituary, Death – On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in his residence, Rayden Gauge Elmore, 15 years old, of Newton, Massachusetts, went away abruptly. His parents, Daniel Elmore of Newton and Eveylou Rogers Elmore of Catawba, welcomed him into the world on August 14, 2007, in Catawba County. Rayden was going into his second year at Maiden High School and was involved in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC).

He aspired to join the United States Marine Corps like his papaw, Timothy Elmore, and follow in his footsteps. He enjoyed listening to music of a variety of styles, but his favorite performer, Juice WRLD, whom he will now get to meet, was a particular favorite. Rayden was one of a kind; he always had that one look and that one smile that, regardless of how challenging your day might have been, he was able to make it better. He was a boy who needed some love but always gave the love he had to everyone around him. He was highly intelligent.

He was also a kid who needed some love. Because of him, there was never a day that you would wake up without a smile on your face. He gave his all to everything, even when he didn’t think he could, and he never gave up. Rayden took great joy in bringing a smile to the faces of others, and he possessed a great deal of talent in all aspect of his life, including the role he now plays in watching over all of us. Think about him every time you see a stunning sunset and you’ll get the picture he’s trying to convey.

In addition to his various achievements, he was talented in the arts and enjoyed spending time with his grandmother crocheting. Rayden cherished the time he got to spend with his loved ones, and they are going to miss him terribly. His dear friend Nancy Robinson and his step-mother’s brother Bart Padgett both passed away before he did. Those who are still here to honor his memory include: Daniel Elmore and Brenda Perkins, both of Newton, are the children’s biological father and stepmother. Catawba native Eveylou Rogers Elmore was our mother.

James Reilly Elmore, the brother of Elmore, from Newton Ariana Rose Perkins of Newton is the sister’s name. Timothy Elmore and his wife Mary were the paternal grandparents. Andra Guthrie was the maternal great-grandmother. Grandparents on the mother’s side include David Jerold Rogers and Joyce Darlene Rogers. Additional Grandparents include Edward and Gail Perkins, as well as Pami and Sam Calloway. Alissa Bell (Jereme) and Jerold David Rogers, Brennan Elmore (Cori), Nick Elmore (Brenda), and Charlotte Perkins are the children’s aunts and uncles, respectively.

Liana Betances, Reyne Bell,, Dalton Rogers, Seth Ratchford (Mackensie), Daniel Ratchford (Ella Jane), Dale Elmore, Georgia Elmore, Bentley and Stella Elmore are all related to one another as cousins. Friends of note include Bridget Starnes and her family, as well as Julio and Sam Rivera. A large number of additional members of the family as well as close friends On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at three o’clock in the afternoon, a memorial service honoring Rayden’s life will be place in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, located at 7878 North Carolina Highway 16 in Newton. The ceremonies will be presided over by Reverends Tommy Young and Tim Glance. At Bennett Funeral ceremony, from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m., the family will be present to greet friends prior to the start of the ceremony.
