Rennie Luen Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reneth Luen Rennie, affectionately known as Rene, on Sunday, the 10th of September, 2023, at the Gladstone Hospital. She was in the comforting embrace of her loved ones, reaching the remarkable age of 99 years.
Rene was a cherished resident of Heritage Drive in Gladstone, and she had also called The Willows and Mt Isa her homes in the past. Rene was not only a remarkable matriarch but also a beloved wife. She is now reunited with her late husband, Jack Rennie, in eternal peace. Her memory lives on through her children and their families, a testament to a life richly lived and deeply loved.
She was the devoted mother and mother-in-law to Edward (dec’d) and Blen, Beryl and Arthur, Fred and Monica, and Jeanette (both dec’d), Juanita and Maurice, Rodney (dec’d), and Marion and David. Rene’s love extended far beyond her immediate family, as she was also an adored grandmother to 12, a great grandmother to 18, and a great-great-grandmother to 5.
Her legacy of love and caring has been woven into the fabric of her family for generations to come. To honor the beautiful life of Rene, a Funeral Service will be held at the Boyne Tannum Memorial Parklands Crematorium Chapel, located on Pioneer Drive in Boyne Island. This heartfelt gathering is scheduled for Friday, the 22nd of September, 2023, and will commence at 1:00 pm.
It will be a time to reflect on the cherished memories, celebrate her enduring love, and find solace in the knowledge that she is at peace.
