Richard Roland Fortin Obituary Death – The tragic news that yet another member of our 1st Michigan family has passed away has left all of us in a state of mourning. Richard and Barbara, his wife, were both extremely involved in the camp follower movement between the years 1983 and 1986. Richard’s involvement began in 1983. Their daughter Susan possessed a great deal of skill when it came to playing the fiddle. Richard The individual that goes by the name Roland Fortin On February 9, 1943, Richard “Two Moons” Fortin was born. When he passed away on July 25, 2023, he had reached the age of 80. Richard “Two Moons” Fortin had lived in Lincoln Park from the 9th of February 1943 until the 25th of July 2023. He had lived there from the 9th of February 1943 until the 25th of July 2023. His cherished parents, Raymond and Margaret Fortin, had already passed away before he was born, therefore he was an only child when they passed away.
His wife Barbara Sheffield-Fortin, his daughter Susan (Chris) Rappuhn, his sister Jean, and his grandchildren Derek, Lauren, Rebecca, and Noah all survive him. His sister Jean also predeceases him. His other sister, Jean, too passed away before him. Others, in addition to a large number of friends and family members, were among those who had the good fortune to flee the scene without suffering any injuries. His primary focus was on imagining what life was like for Native Americans in the 18th century and replicating it as accurately as possible. In memory of the individual who has passed away, a solemn funeral service will be held in a private setting at a later time.
