Ron Numbers Death, Obituary – As I send this communication to you, I am doing so with a heavy heart because I am about to inform you of some fairly discouraging news: As a tragic consequence of this, Ron Numbers has recently passed away. He was well-known for his historical studies; yet, the trait that stood out the most about him was the fact that he was a kind and kind man.
This was in spite of the fact that he was well-known for his historical studies. In spite of the fact that Ron and I had kept in touch through email up until very recently, we finally said our farewells to one another in person for the very last time in 2018. The year 2018 marked the location of our most recent get-together, which took place in Chicago.
His work as a historian was marked by a rare combination of intellectual rigor and a willingness to explore a variety of perspectives, both of which contributed to his overall success. Ron Numbers’s work in this field earned him a lot of respect. Because of this quality that sets him apart from others of his day, he holds a unique position in comparison to his peers.
The objective of his work, which was to uncover the truth and shed some light on the complexity of the historical records, required him to approach his work with an attitude free of bias. Because he was willing to challenge traditional thinking and research paradigms that already existed, the academic world recognized and admired him for his readiness to do so. In this difficult time, please accept my heartfelt condolences on behalf of his family and the friends he leaves behind. I am aware that each of you must be going through a challenging time right now.
