Stewart Gordon Obituary, Death – On the 9th of September 2023, the world became a little dimmer with the sudden passing of Noel Gordon Stewart. Born on the 14th of December 1950, Noel was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, stepfather, and cherished Pa to a multitude of descendants.
His departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever shine brightly in our hearts. Noel was the dearly loved husband of Carol, a partnership that was a source of strength and companionship. He was the son of Dorothy and John, both of whom he joined in eternal rest. Noel’s presence in the family was a beacon of love and support, a role he embraced with a warm heart.
He shared a special bond with his brothers Trevor and the late Mark, along with their respective families. These connections were a testament to the deep love and unity that ran through the Stewart family. As a father and father-in-law, Noel was a source of guidance and love for Noeleen and Bruce, Tamara and Vani, Bruce and Missy, Russell, Cynthia and James, Trevor and Jamie, John and Arron, and Rhys. He welcomed each of them into his heart, imparting wisdom and love that will continue to shape their lives.
Noel was also a loving stepfather to John (Dec), Rebecca, and Jason, further expanding his circle of family and love. Perhaps one of Noel’s most cherished roles was that of Pa. He had the privilege of being Pa to an astonishing 44 moko (grandchildren) and 11 great mokopuna (great-grandchildren). His love and joy knew no bounds when it came to these young lives, and the memories they created together will remain a lasting testament to his legacy.
Noel will be remembered for his cheeky sense of humor, which brought laughter and light into the lives of those around him. His infectious laughter and witty remarks were a source of joy, and the world will undoubtedly feel a little less vibrant without them.
To pay your respects and honor the life of Noel Gordon Stewart, his family welcomes all friends and loved ones to visit him at his home at 158 Queen Street, Wairoa, starting from Wednesday, the 13th of September 2023. A funeral service will be held at the War Memorial Hall on Thursday, the 14th of September 2023, at 10 a.m. Following the service, Noel will be taken to Gisborne for cremation.
