Timothy Barbour Obituary Death -The Brattleboro Police Department was able to determine the identity of the person whose body was found in the woods in between the Harris Hill Ski Jump and the Retreat Farm. The victim was a person who had been murdered. According to the Brattleboro Police Department (BPD), the investigation into the “suspicious” death of Brattleboro resident Timothy P. Barbour, who was 59 years old, is still ongoing.
After receiving a call about a body down an embankment on August 2, at one o’clock in the afternoon, the Brattleboro Fire Department arrived to the location and opened an investigation into the incident. The Windham County State’s Attorney’s Office, the Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team, the Vermont State Police K-9 teams, and New England K-9 Search and Rescue have all provided the Brattleboro Police Department with support throughout the investigation.

According to a member of Barbour’s family who requested anonymity at this time, Barbour was “a good man… a son, brother, uncle, and great friend to many.”
According to the member of the family, Barbour’s passing has left the family in utter disarray. According to a member of Barbour’s family, not only did he enjoy playing sports, but he also coached baseball. Barbour entered a guilty plea in January 2022 to the charge that on February 11, 2021, he attempted to rob two people working as volunteers at the ticket counter of the ski hill at Living Memorial Park. He was given a sentence of imprisonment for a period of six months.
